Chicken Korma Curry
Ingredients
Chicken meat 1 kg- Onions 2
- Turmeric powder 1tsp
- Garlic cloves 2-3
- Ground cumin seeds 1 tsp
- Powdered ginger seeds 2 tsp
- Black cardamoms 2
- Yoghurt 1 cup
- Butter or cooking oil as required
- Mustard seeds crushed 1 tsp
Recipe:
- Cut chicken in 12 pieces and prick with the help of fork.
- Blend onion, garlic and salt and mix with ginger powder and yoghurt.
- Marinate chicken in this mixture for 1 hour.
- Heat butter and sauté remaining onion slices.
- Add turmeric powder, salt, red chili powder and all other spices and fry.
- Add marinated chicken and cook uncovered on medium heat.
- Add water and cook for further 10 minutes.
- Remember gravy should be thick and adhere to chicken.
- Garnish with coriander leaves and serve hot with rice and chapatti.
